StarCraft2: Hell, It’s About Time

Ohmygod. I got goosebumps when I heard the announcement.

After almost a decade of waiting for the next installment of the game, the long wait is finally over.

StarCraft 2 was officially announced by Blizzard today at the World Wide Invitational event at South Korea, the number 1 StarCraft country.

StarCraft was one of the best-selling computer games when it was released in 1998. It was so friggin good that it fast developed a cult-following worldwide. Heck, StarCraft introduced me to multiplayer games.. I’d play with my classmates over modem and even tried my hand at BattleNet. Ah, the memories…

When news about Blizzard making an announcement at the WWI event, people started talk about the announcement being the release of StarCraft2… but since rumors have been around for years we never really can tell. EVERY YEAR, there seems to be a rumor or even some sort of trailer or wallpaper that would come out… but nothing was official. They were all fan-made hoaxes. This time, it’s real. WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Check out the Official Trailer:

Expected release date: sometime 2008, ten years after the initial release of the original StarCraft.
