Facebook Ad Fail – CrazyDeals.ph

One of the things I saw today on Facebook.

Mistake #1 – Wrong spelling on the text for ‘crazydeals.ph’

Mistake #2 – Wrong link on the ad itself

So guys, when you have ads, always double check your text and links. Otherwise you’re leaking money out of a faucet. I probably clicked on the ad 5 times to check. Ouch.

Google and Yahoo recently came out with their list of ‘Top Rising Keyword Searches for 2010″ and other social networks followed suit.

A great way to think outside the box is to jump on rising social trends, so what better way to expand your campaign portfolio by branching out into new trends like these.

IKEA’s successful facebook campaign

Social Media is fast becoming the channel of choice for most marketers. Back in the day, if you wanted to launch something you’d have to have a budget for tri-media: TV, Radio, Print. With the Internet today, the most effective channel is social networks, and Facebook leads the pack.

Lorne Fade recently published an ad spending infograph based on Nielsen AdRelevance data with very interesting data.

A day earlier, IKEA published a video on how they are utilizing Facebook’s “most popular function” – that of tagging photos – and getting people to spread the word about IKEA’s products via profile pages, newsfeeds, and links. A very smart and creative campaign I must say.
