Teriyaki Boy @ Robinson’s Galleria

After gym, my sister and I had to make a stop at Robinson’s Galleria for a few errands. We saw a Teriyaki Boy poster and immediately made a bee line for it… lunch at around 2:30PM.

We were seated by Alvin at a table for two. We wanted a booth but none was available at the time. I was making faces at my sister because there was a toddler screaming out loud just behind me. An infant would’ve been excusable but this was a whiny brat. Some parents just can’t control their children. Bleh. I digress.

Anyway, since Teriyaki Boy is pretty much a common eating place, I shall just give you a run down of the impeccable service experience we had at Teriyaki Boy, Robinson’s Galleria.

  1. Alvin is a GREAT order-taker. Very attentive. He didn’t even write down our order. My sister and I were so impressed that we started watching other waiters… ours was THE BEST.
  2. The staff were very courteous, unobtrusive. My sister and I were in a deep conversation (ie, making fun of the whining brat behind me) and it didn’t feel like they were butting in while they were serving the food.
  3. Fast service. My sister and I weren’t even finished talking about how impressed we were with Alvin when he came along with our orders. Talk about fast.
  4. They remember things. We wanted seats by the window, preferrably a booth and they did not forget this! When a table cleared up, they asked if we still wanted to transfer. Oh I love you guys!
  5. Attentive. Attentive. Attentive. When I want something I usually raise my hand to get the waiter’s attention… at Galleria’s Teriyaki Boy, I barely raised my hand over my ear. What I love about the staff is that they weren’t even hovering.

My sister paid for the bill with her credit card but we definitely left a tip for Alvin. We wrote on the receipt “GREAT Service, Alvin!.” Personal comments go a loooong way.

I am an advocate of the Customer Feedback Form. I suggest you fill out these forms so that establishments can improve their products/services at the same time find out what they’re doing right. Personalize your comments… you never know, your favorite waiter might get a bonus for doing so well. :)
